Event of the Day: The rain let up enough for me not to worry about
flooding on the way to my favorite mall, so it was pretty much a regular
Sunday. I think the real highlight of the day was getting myself out of
my parking slot in Santuario, because some BMW owner only stuck himself
about 3/4ths of the way into his parking slot. *wrinkles nose*

It was a nice, brand-new BMW too, and I don't think getting out would
have been that hard, except for the brick ornamentation encircling the
tree behind me...ah, well. I got out without incident, but I had half a
mind to take a picture of the miscreant's car and post it on Twitter
with a few choice words.

On the other hand, it might have been the car of someone I knew, so
perhaps it was better I didn't. Still, it doesn't change the fact that
it was a monumental piece of how not to take care of your own car, in my
opinion.

Was feeling under the weather, just slightly. Have been mentally
running on overdrive, I really should learn to find ways to disengage
from things whose controls I can't figure out yet. *sigh* Still, it
didn't stop me from having a nice lunch with hubby. Luk Yuen fried
noodles and dimsum, yummy.

Decided to have my weekly massage on the massage table instead of the
monobloc chair, and it was good. Very good. Someday that will be my
default setting for massages.

Felt so good after the massage that I treated myself to coffee at 18
Days/Coffee Alamid. Haven't visited them for a while, and their coffee
is still as good as I remember.

Supermarket after that, groceries, and then home to life as usual.

[Fwd: Monday, 05-September-2011 :: Event/s of the Day & Twitter Log]

Event of the Day: Monday was a day of staying home. I don't think "day
of rest" is all that accurate, since I don't rest up all that much.
Mostly what I did was to burn off files from the DVR, and jot notes to
myself while looking at my twitter feed.

I think there was a nap in there somewhere, after I burned off a
gazillion files from the DVR. Will have to think about recording
further episodes of the series I have programmed.

Ah, yes, I remember that in the midst of the burning off, I was hit with
a brainwave for a fic drabble, one that's been sitting on the back
burner for years. (Like all the other WIPs I have, but that's a whole
other issue.) All of a sudden I get this inspiration and start putting
it down on paper - mercy me, my handwriting was *atrocious*. But in the
end I think I got most of what bubbled up, and one day I'll frame
everything with dialogue and description.

Felt good to be writing, no lie. And with any luck, I'll get more of
the same on paper before the year is out.

[Fwd: Tuesday, 06-September-2011 :: Event/s of the Day & Twitter Log]

Event of the Day: Another day at home. Morning began with the cable
internet going down. After switching the modem/router on and off, put in
a call to the helpdesk - which promptly put me on the dreaded Endless
Loop of Hold Music (TM).

Now as my provider's helpdesk puts a human on within the third ring?
Being put on endless loop is a sure sign of system down time, as
subscribers call to wonder if it's just them or is their area undergoing
maintenance or did someone blow up a transmitter... In this case, it was
a system glitch that required maintenance. Ahh, just so.

In any event, I was on hold so long that the cable internet came back
just as a human got on the line. *chuckle* The poor laddie sounded half
asleep, like he was ending his shift after overtime or had just started
his shift straight out of bed. All's well that ends well.

Spent quite a bit of time following topics via my Twitter feed, using my
Tabbie. Am beginning to think that when I win that Reader's Digest
raffle, a good chunk of money will probably go into making over my
bedroom and office space. *dreamy look*

Lately have been feeling lazy and blue. Got a reminder from
cyclespage.com that tells me my hormones are about to ramp up their
shenanigans. *shrug* Ah, life.

No work on the DVR files today. I did manage to tidy up around the
bedroom in lieu of that, and there's an odd feeling of lightness as a
result. Still too lazy to try and tackle the rest of the room, though.

[Fwd: Wednesday, 07-September-2011 :: Event/s of the Day & Twitter Log]

Event of the Day: Cris could not come for Ma's PT, so Ramon and I went
out to SM Makati for a quick run to get kitty food and other things.

(Am having deja vu as I write, because I could have *sworn* I wrote for
this set of tweets, and sent it, this morning from the desktop...)

Started by getting Ramon a desk lamp at Ace Hardware, as his computer
corner is in need of some proper illumination. Then lunch at Max's, not
the fried chicken this time, though, but pancit luglog and fresh
lumpiang ubod.

Across the hall to McDo, for the apple pie that I always get Ma whenever
I am within striking distance of a Golden Arches. Then while Ramon went
to ramble downstairs, I went on a search for a birthday gift for my
goddaughter. A most successful search it was, I just hope she likes it.

Then downstairs to the supermarket, to pick up the kitty food and
various other things like coffee packets, salad fixings (which reminds
me that I seriously need to fix a salad tomorrow), and galunggong.

Then home to a quasi-nap. Have been feeling out of sorts and blue
recently, woke up feeling like a zombie and was fully functional at
10pm.
