Went to Tagaytay today

It was a great day with myself and the parents; Ramon elected to stay home on the double grounds of having been out two days in succession, and to look after Budi, who is having a difficult time shaking off her cold.

See, we have this system where, as much as possible, after every day Ramon and I are out, the next day is a rest day and we stay home. Of course, for me, "rest day" is a relative term, what with all the kittycats to look after, and a house to run as well.

As for Buding, by dint of careful nursing and cuddling, is demanding food on a regular basis, which is a good thing. We continue to pray that her progress will continue, such that we will have a fat kitty by Christmas.

I am waffling between writing a more detailed entry about the day (and maybe some of the other events that have been going on), and just catching up on feeds and LiveJournal. So far, catching up on LiveJournal is winning. And I should try and get my ration of sleep after a busy day like today. *nods*

So I'll post something sometime tomorrow, unless I get distracted - my occupational hazard.

Kami 1 day lang kelangan na mag-recover.

Dewey's cold comes and goes, and for the first time I'm wishing December wouldnt be so chilly. I sometimes find that I have to feed vitamins first so he can smell food. (It could be the vitamins or the chocolate taste, I don't know.) I read in a Cat Encyclopedia that they would actually "force feed" the kitteh and I'm like ARE YOU SERIOUS??

re force feeding: i read that in another cat reference, too. you buy baby food, the beef/chicken/turkey/meat stuff. Gerber's or whatever (buhay pa ba ang Gerber's?), fill a syringe with it, and shoot it into your bebeh's mouth. the messy potential is mind-boggling.

budi warms herself at the back of the freezer if she feels cold. like you, i give her vitamins, (it has lysine for appetite) though she doesn't seem to need them much now to smell food. this morning she ate with all the cat family in the laundry area, hallelujah!

poor darling knows what syringes mean, and she wears this "WAH MAMA NO" look whenever i bring them out. but she's fairly good about taking her vitamins, though.
