Bah, humbug.

Am in a mildly Scrooge-y mode at the moment. I love Christmas, being Christmas-born, but sometimes the prep work gets to me...a good night's sleep should help relieve the problem somewhat. Winning the grand prize
in the Reader's Digest raffle would banish it completely. *chortle*

I'll be okay after a night's sleep. Have been bustling about since Wednesday, and tonight Dad was all fractious about the family budget. It is a trying thing to the soul to hear oneself painted as a waster of
money, when I am switching to cheaper versions of everything where I can.

*breathes deeply and exhales slowly*

On the other hand, there is too much to be thankful for this year, to waste time brooding over what cannot be
changed. I just need time to acknowledge and vent the bad, in order to make room for the good - like buttered croissants with cream cheese, popcorn, cold soda, hot coffee and cocoa; family in good health, house in working order. *nods*

Now, off to catch up with the rest of LiveJournal. Was too zonked last night to comprehend anything I read.

To say nothing of having only one present for both Christmas and one's birthday. Hmp!

I have no doubt my ninong and ninang were happy to have to spend for only the one gift! *grin*

Didn't have all that many presents under the tree as a kid, but what presents I got, I loved -literally- to pieces. :)
