Am still feeling a bit under the weather. Have been self-medicating throat with Pei Pa Koa syrup and Ricola lozenges, long naps and lots of water. Currently, I'm sitting in front of the computer with a layer of Vicks over my nose and sinus passages. Breathing feels somewhat better as a result; however, Buchi-cat hates the smell of Vicks or anything menthol/camphor related. Poor sweet is going to catch the scent on my face and look at me reproachfully when I come to bed.
Vox announced that they are closing down on September 30. They offered users options to migrate blog entries to TypePad, Posterous, or Wordpress, and pictures to Flickr. At first I was thinking it would be nice to have one less account to look after - but then the lure of a free TypePad account got the better of me. So I decided to migrate the Vox account to TypePad - and then found to my everlasting glee that bulk deleting was an option! So I merrily deleted all the old LJ mirror entries, since I already mirror my LJ on both Posterous and Wordpress (the Vox account was itself another mirror), and am now using the TypePad blog as a links blog which feeds into my Twitter account via Twitterfeed. The Vox blog has been deleted.
Yes, I am a dab hand at daisy-chaining my accounts, aren't I? *grin*
The recent uproar over LJ's new features - they just love to spring these on the user base, don't they? With predictable results of mass outrage. I mirrored my LJ on Dreamwidth a while back, setting it up to cross-post to LiveJournal. I do all my blog posts through email now, and it seems to be a whole lot more convenient.
Have been culling people from my Facebook account, and reducing as much of my personal info as possible. Ever since hubby's account was disabled, I've been looking for excuses to just delete my own account, never mind all the people I've added to my friends list there - I hardly even read my own feed, for crying out loud. Keeping up with Twitter and LJ suits me just fine; if Facebook unleashes another round of changes that upset people in a major, MAJOR way - then I'm hitting that delete button and not telling a soul.
Dad's flight from Cebu came in early - good thing Ramon and I were going through Magallanes when he called my mobile, so I was able to pull over and have a decent conversation. He had lots of fun with his relations, and that's always a good thing.
Ma didn't have PT this morning, our sweet physiotherapist had some sort of emergency going. Just as well, since I woke up feeling bleh to the nth degree anyway.
Will sign off here. Am hoping Darklette-cat will settle down soon so I can concentrate on some other things.

Facebook and me do not like each other, I'm trying to be more receptive to it because quite a few of my real friends seem to have migrated to using much more than LJ but honestly they are always one step away from deletion with me. *Makes face.* Just not a fan.
I hope you feel better soon.

And how does he keep up with me now? Via SMS. *laughter*
I proceed on the road to wellness, but the journey, it is slow. Vitamins and throat lozenges should do the trick, as I appear to be over the worst of it now.
