Yesterday's current mood: vague and broody
It's raining outside, and I am finding the sound of flowing water soothing
to my soul at the moment. Am feeling rather broody - managed to screw up
a couple of things. Thankfully, said screw-ups are easily remediable; but
I find that I'm kicking myself up the backside more often that is really
good for something that has a fairly easy solution. I wish I could learn
how to stop it. But I remember occasions when I was younger, if I made
mistakes, I would be made to feel like I'd done it on purpose or I was
somehow lacking in brains.
I have a wonky throat. Last night, it felt like something disengaged
itself on the right side of my throat and I started coughing. This
morning I woke up to the feeling of cement-like phelgm in the middle of my
bronchial network. No voice till after breakfast, hot tea, and a teaspoon
of guaifenesin, which didn't bring up much - though what it did bring up
was a relief. Not much with coughing paroxyms today, thank heaven. Had
another teaspoon of guaifenesin (sp?) after dinner, and all is well,
except for some residual cement-block feeling in my bronchi.
What else. Oh, we have a new walk-in kitten! I was talking to our
gardener after giving him his pay, discussing what to do with the used
Kitty Crumble. We had just agreed for him to use it as garden soil
additive/compost when this scrawny little gray kitty-cat comes crossing
the street as leisurely as you please, mewing in a hoarse voice and heads
straight for me. *dies* What is there to do, but offer the poor wee
thing kibble and water and shelter from the wet, I ask you? Give it a
week, we'll have it all fat and healthy and romping with the residents -
although it's a bit wary of them all at the moment. Q-bie could care less
about the newcomer; Siggy and PopTart keep their distance but want to be
friendly; Pica's kittens are acting all royal telenovela "..and who are
*you*, pray tell?" LOL.
Kitten has, as yet, no name. Need to see more of its personality first.
Rest assured that Ramon will come up with something outrageous.
Tomorrow the men go and have their cardio checkups. Then Ramon and I have
to stock up on extra food for the kittehs.
That's about all I feel up to posting for now. Catch you whenever.

Yay for new adopted kitties. Word must get around that you're a Good Home. <3
I love a steady, calm rain for feeling cozy and focused. But more often than not, the rain we get here is accompanied by gales, and the howling sets my teeth -- and brain -- on edge!
Hope the check ups went well for the men & you're doing well.
Trusting this finds you well...
By kittycat's stance as he came over, the grapevine must certainly have put the word out on our house. :)
The check-ups went well. Hubby gained a few pounds which he now must lose, but nothing major. Dad flew off to the province to help his brother celebrate brother's 75th birthday and will be back Tuesday. Two weather disturbances entered the country's area of responsibility, but did not move close enough to cause damage/flooding.
The weather has turned - it's chilling in the early hours of the morning. People are broadcasting their own personal countdowns before Christmas, yikes!
*hug*

Ramon put Walker into our "bahay-bahayan" for the cats and it has now made the thing its headquarters for the moment. Such a cutie - miaow is less rusty, and still wary of all the residents, but acclimatising well.

Lots of love.

Kitty is now code-named Walker, until its permanent name surfaces. See this thing? (http://www.oo.com.au/prod/PEAN8008/1b.jpg) We have something similar. Ramon put Walker in the cubby of ours, and it has made itself quite at home there, emerging for meals and general "don't mess with me" miaowing at the other kittens. *grin* Settling in very nicely, yes!

ah but walk-in kittens are love, aren't they? ♥

Walk-in kitten arrived in the same manner as our Pica-matriarch, who marched in with the resident cats and kittens, miaowing for food as if she belonged to the house. Hee! This newbie has been code-named Walker until its true name surfaces, and is assimilating well, if somewhat wary of its new batch-mates (all six of them).
