Seeing Twitter comments about how injured hostages sent to PGH, Ospital ng Maynila; with implication that government maybe too cheapskate to send them to private hospitals.
Thing is, last I heard, Manila Doctors was a private hospital. And isn't the priority to get injured to the nearest hospital with emergency facilities, preferably a trauma center, as soon as possible?
I knew people would die when the TV announced that almost an hour had gone by since the first gunshots were heard. Trauma injuries ought to be attended to within sixty minutes, or "The Golden Hour", if I remember correctly. We're lucky people survived the shooting and the rescue at all.
