[Recap Post] April 27. 2010/Tuesday
OOOPS, I knew there was more to Tuesday than what I just posted. All
the better, I guess for the readers - at least you can have washroom
breaks while reading! :)

- After lunch, headed out to Citibank to deposit Ma's check, and
take out the budget for the music system she wanted. Dropped Ramon
off at the Jollibee across the street, while I used the underground
parking. Dropped Ramon off at the Jollibee across the street to wait
for me, and after I'd done with the monetary business, we had a nice
afternoon snack before heading off to our next stop. - Park Square One hadn't seen our faces for a very long time, and it
was good to be back in familiar territory.- First stop was the Sony Avid store, since Ma's preferred brand has
always been Sony. Checked out a variety of MP3 players, and figured
that this
little cutie would do the job. Wanted to get the speakers/dock
but wasn't about to buy the display model - especially since the idiot
salesperson wouldn't give me a discount for a cash purchase. Talked
to me like he wouldn't even give me the itme of day. - Decided to check out the SM Makati Applicance Center for speakers,
and found a nice Altec Lansing set with wonderful sound and a setup
you could do blindfolded. Bought it and got the 3% discount for cash
purchases (as I did for my Samsung Corby TXT when I got it there).

catching up with the newspapers while waiting for me to check out and
buy the speakers. Agreed that I would go back to Park Square One to
buy the Walkman MP3, and he would pitterpat around the SM concourse to
buy himself some fruit salad stuff; we'd meet up at the Sony
shop. - Stuffed the speakers into the car, and then made a quick dash to
the phone tiangge to buy a pouch for the Nokia, before proceeding to
the Sony Avid store. Ms. Jenny, the salesperson who came up to help
me, was ever so much nicer than the other person, and was very patient
in checking the stock room for available models. The sale was quickly
concluded to everyone's satisfaction, and so back home. - Once home, I set up the speakers, hooked up the Walkman MP3, gave
everything a test run, and Ma said that she liked it. *huge sigh of
relief* Discovered the joys of using Asunder, my Linux CD-ripping
utility, and loaded up Ma's classical music albums into the Walkman,
first thing. 10 CDs, and room to spare for all the other stuff - I do
believe our CD music library will fit completely in there, and still
have space for more.
