Keeping an Easter Vigil
It's 10.31pm in Manila as I write, the world is dark and quiet around
me, the house is sleeping. Most everyone is in church for the Easter
Vigil, I think; Ramon and I will go to Mass tomorrow, so he can get a
good night's rest if he can tonight. I'm up because I'm used to being
up, won't be sleepy till about midnight.
It's been a busy day, though the tasks were fairly well spaced-out:
** started the laundry early, and finished the last load before lunch,
so that everythingwas in place when the sun was the hottest, and dried
by the afternoon.
** burned off a whole passel of files from the DVR, and programmed
same for the entire month.
** updated the photo blogs.
** opened my Slam Dunk! chapter outlines file, and tried constructing
a chapter, one bullet point at a time. i may have succeeded.
No naptime today as a result of the DVR programming; but I didn't miss
it that much. Am getting sleepier by the minute now, though. *yawn*
Last night, writing in my private journal, decided to give myself
permission to do something I've been faintly guilty about doing for
quite some time now. In talking to myself on paper, I came to the
realization that I didn't need to feel guilty about what i was doing,
and it was like a weight sliding off my shoulders. Hmm. Feels good
to have given myself literary license, as it were.
Life resumes normal pacing tomorrow. Mass, medicines, groceries.
Guess I may as well close here and write more tomorrow. In the
meantime, a blessed Easter to those who celebrate - and for those who
do not, the sentiments of renewal and resurrection are still valid,
because it's *spring*! Or it should be, if the weather patterns are
to be believed.
