Feels good to get things done

Currently watching Buchi-cat puttering around the kitchen. At the
moment she's exploring behind the dish racks, very carefully, since
she just heard me call out her name in a warning tone. Now she's
posing on top of the range. *grin*

Buding-cat is limping. *sadface* Possibly she sprained herself
jumping all over the place. Hopefully she will be better soon - she
is resting herself, but apparently can jump up to access her sleeping
basket without any problems. Our poor wee bebeh!

Today I broke a pitcher. Froze in place, and had the maid sweep up
the shards within seconds after the pitcher hit the floor.
Fortunately, the cats had the good sense to flee, so none of them were
in danger from glass bits on the floor. Hubby patted my shoulder, but
I didn't feel too bad about losing the pitcher...it wasn't that
expensive, and easy to replace.

Did the laundry, too. At first wasn't sure if I should get started on
Dad's hampers, since I woke up to cloudy skies. Then just as the
first load was hung on the line, the sun broke out in splendor. Not
bad! So it was a beautiful day that I had for drying laundry.

Actually got out of the house today! Mailed some bank forms to my
cousin in the States, then dropped by the micro-mall to deposit money,
buy bread in Rustan's, and cold cuts in Santi's. Then back home
again.

Today I went through my Shadow Skill drabble folder and took out all
the duplicates. Consolidated related drabbles into the makings of a
proper plot bunny (*happy bounce*) several times, and now have
interesting plot points to build around. On the other hand,
continuity and consistency are going to be the bane of my writing, but
I can fix that over time. *grin*

Writing has made me a more stable sort of person of late. Less prone
to hormonal mood swings, at least. More grounded, and seemingly more
content. So I guess it was a part of my life that was left on the
back burner for far too long. *huggles fanfics*

Sailing to Sarantium has become much easier to read now that I
have made it through the prologue and the main character has been
introduced. Have to watch more Spartacus but I will admit
right now that I am going to do so by fast forwarding through the
arena parts. There is only so much 300-style slow-mo blood and gore
that I can take!

Have noticed that the stories I write for Slam Dunk! get more
attention than the ones for Shadow Skill, at least on FF.net. Ah,
well, I know what works for me, so it's all good. Just need to review
some of the DVDs to remember what happened when. *grin*

What else. *thinks* Nope, it was pretty much life as usual that I can
see. So I'll end here - time to close the house and shower up before
pre-bedtime writing. So far, so good!
