We're having a heat wave...a tropical heat wave
Most of the day passed in a heat- or period-induced headache, or
possibly a combination of both. I melted the ice in my ice bag within
15 seconds of putting it on my thumping bumping brains, but oh, the
blessed relief!
Ma had her PT today. While that was going on, I sorted out the
huge-ass pile of papers and statements and payables. Am glad to
report that I made great progress on that.
After two days of fixing formatting, my Shadow Skill fanfic blog on
Posterous is up. I am now torn between importing entries from the
Slam Dunk fanfic blog and fixing formatting, or reposting from the
original entries. Methinks I may try the latter course of action, and
delete the Wordpress version as soon as the Posterous version is all
set. Yeah, most probably I'll do that tomorrow morning. Not now,
when I feel drained out of all my life forces in both the figurative
and literal sense.
Didn't make that much progress on my fanfic writing today, but maybe I
can tap out a paragraph or two before I go to bed.
Oh, before I forget, we had ourselves an earthquake. Epicenter was in
Mindoro, intensity 6.1-6.2 depending on your source. Makati felt it at
intensity 4.0. It translated into the floor under my desk rising and
falling like it was riding an ocean swell; condo dwellers had that
magnified so that it probably felt like a 5.0. From my experience, a
quake of about 3.0 feels like a 4.0 when you're 11 floors up. Minor
damage, but no injuries or deaths have been reported so far.
In typical Pinoy fashion, jokes were abounding regarding the cause of
the quake, and spreading all over Twitter within 20 minutes after the
fact. One of my favorite retweets was the one rejoicing that Justin
Bieber had been displaced as a trending topic as a result of the
quake. *chuckle*
Aside from that, it was pretty much life as usual. My body is acting
as though it's been short on sleep - but I'm usually abnormally sleepy
during my cycle, so that's nothing out of the ordinary. Will close
here, as I hear the midnight-snack cats asking for their handouts.
Catch you all when I catch you!
