Life minus internet

The announced downtime for maintenance by my cable internet provider
did not begin as stated - so of course it was no surprise to see that
the uptime did not happen as stated, either. Such is life.

Not that I really missed having the internet. I just dug through my
hard drive, unearthed various bits and pieces of writing, blew the
dust off them (so to speak), and started polishing some of the rough
drafts. I have at least two stories for uploading to fanfic archives;
one is an epic of 13 chapters and counting, but no real title. Um.
The story muses say the chapters go first, then *maybe*, if I'm a good
author, they'll help suggest a title. UM.

Not much else to report for the day. Lots of happy writing and disk
maintenance, began reading Sailing to Sarantium, began the
process of moving my fic/writing blogs from WordPress to Posterous.
Don't ask why, but I have this feeling that the writing will flow
better if I post there. WordPress and Blogger now are mirror blogs
for the travel journals, so that suits me fine.

Took a nap after the worst of the the afternoon sun descended. My
cycle started, so have been treating myself as gently as possible.

So that's about it for the day. :)

I heartily endorse the said taking of a nap and of course the writing!

The writing goes well...it has gotten to the point where I challenge myself to write at least a paragraph a day (because real life has responsibilities that take me offline), and then I end up writing a little more, and a little more...

My fandom is even more moribund than the one you're writing for, I think. On the other hand, not that many folk care for the alternate universe that I'm writing - so it's all even. Someday I'll write something that will hit chords, and all will be well.

:)
