Since I have time on my hands
A quick blog post to summarize the day thus far.
Began on a headachy note - woke up from the heat at around 5am to
find Sakki-cat being piteous about having breakfast. Stumbled out of
bed, opened kitchen, fed and watered cats, let them outside to play in
the cool of the day, and then went back to bed.
At 7am, woke up to Buchi being worried about my being a slug-a-bed
when the sun was already up. So I sat up and petted her, which calmed
her down; took a quick shower and had breakfast. By 8am, was ready to
make the run to the employment agency to get our new maid/cook. Left
Ramon sleeping like a cherub - thought he could use the break from
being my chaperone and besides, he was up *really* early to watch
In The Heat Of The Night, which ended around 5.30am.
There was a wee bit of traffic on the way home, but once out of the
JP Rizal area, it was pretty much a straight flight through The Fort
and McKinley Road to get home. Arrived, did the introductions, took
more medicine for my aching head and runny nose, gave myself an
alcohol rub, and promptly went to bed. Slept from 10am till noon,
woke up with the headache much abated, and the nose dry. Roast
chicken for lunch pretty much set my feet on the road to recovery -
plus another paracetamol.
Got started on a project that's been on the back burner, namely,
compressing seldom-accessed files into zip files. Tested the
extraction process before deleting all the hard-won files, and it
works, so I am zipping away with a will.*grin*
Ramon just brought me some buttered toasted oatmeal bread, and it
tastes really good.
Thinking of starting a private blog. I recently started re-reading
a book called Write It Down, Make It Happen and it has some
nifty writing exercises. However, the answers to the exercises aren't
exactly things I feel I should share with the world at large, which is
why it's going to have to be a locked journal. The big question is,
which blog service am I going to use? *grin* So far, a quick look
tells me that I'm leaving my Dreamwidth x Livejournal (where
x=crossposting) as is. WordPress, Blogger and Posterous have multiple
accounts. Which leaves Vox or Tumblr, with one account each. Leaning
towards Vox for now; it was the first mirror of my LJ before
Dreamwidth came along - and Tumblr is mainly a mirror of my photoblog
on Blogger.
Will mull over this a wee bit more, and then most likely end up on
Vox. Now all I need is a name for the blog, and I'm good to go.
*smile*
Oye. Tomorrow is laundry day. I have a mountain of clothes that
need cleaning.
