In fact, it's just another ordinary day
In sum: everything I wanted done, got done, with minimum fuss.
Just the way things ought to be on a Sunday. *nods*
Let's see. First stop was Mercury Santuario for two of Ramon's
medicines. Found a nice parking slot in the back of the micro-mall
(well, maybe nano-mall would suit better), in the shade. Picked up
some bread at Rustan's after getting the meds.
Then off to Cash and Carry. First stop: BookSale, where I bought a
book for Ramon and a book for myself (yes, I know - did I not just
finish telling you all about having cleaned up my "to read"
bookshelves yesterday). Then The Generics Pharmacy for the bulk of
Ramon's meds.
Then the food court for a snack, because late last night I started
developing a cold. The general plan of attack when such a thing
happens is to down 500mg of Paracetamol as needed to abate the
symptoms and to take a nap. Since a nap was totally out of the
question, semi-aggressive medication was the next course of action.
As of this writing, the cold appears to have gone away. Score! *grin*
After the heavy snack that was more of a second breakfast, I went
to check out the massage place on the 3rd level, that is wholly
staffed by blind massage therapists. Let me tell you, for the price
and the no-frills setup, I got one of the best massages that I ever
had - and that was just the 30-minute, upper body, seated massage!
The masseuse found every last knot in my muscles and worked them into
submission...painful at times, but man did I ever feel human
afterwards. I have just found my new favorite massage service -
though I have always been partial to blind massage therapists. They
really, really know their business.
Then down to 18 Days Coffee for my regular tipple - the only iced
coffee that I drink without having to resort to adding milk or sugar;
it is that perfect. Of course, tastes being different, I do expect
mileage to vary. I ordered something called a "Mukie" which is a
confection of walnuts and choco chips and the most *solid* cookie
dough that I have bitten into. Insanely good stuff.
Then groceries, where everything that was on the list was got. We
were home by 2pm, which is ridiculously early given that we usually
arrive home at around 4pm. Put away the groceries, changed out of
travel gear, made inroads into leftover bicho-bicho, went online,
rejoiced when it rained for at least 15 minutes straight. Though
smelling the ground as it released all its heat did not make my
sinuses very happy.
I have plans for making something spreadable to go with the tinned
(how can you call it tinned when the containers are now plastic, I ask
you) biscuits. Totally ad lib, as is my style when concocting stuff
to make eating more fun. Will tell you all how it works out.

Added a few paragraphs to my WIP. Not much writing today, but I
had an opening paragraph that needed to be set down before various
residents of my alternate universe start to mutter darkly. The story
is going on quite nicely.
No knitting today, but then weekend routine is not like daily
routine, so maybe tomorrow.
No photo blog update either. *sticks out tongue* Meh. It's on the
to-do list, it will happen when it happens.
No sorting of papers either, and it is really getting to an urgent
status. Before month-end, please God.
Basically, that's about it. I may go on Twitter later, though more
of catch-up rather than socialize -- still not feeling in the mood for
chat, what with this cold-induced headache. Ciao!
