A sleepy sort of entry
Just a quickie, I think, to update everyone on today's main events.
*crickets*
OK, so it was basically just the one meeting this afternoon with some
members of my women's group, and a nice lady who belongs to the Musuem
Volunteers of the Philippines. They're interested in arranging some sort of
cultural tour of Malolos and Meycauayan (gold jewelry for the win).
Guess who's been appointed as the tour director, as it were?
*more crickets*
Apparently since the group will be made up of expats, and I am, allegedly,
the person with (a) the most fluency in English, and (b) the kind of sunny
personality that can hold attention, these are enough criteria to make me
the default go-to for such a job. OK, nothing for it but to channel all
those lovely, efficient Insight Tour Managers who made my traveling days
such fun; and hope for the best.
Hm...I asked if our org had feedback forms, seeing as how these cultural
tours have been on the agenda for quite a bit, because I was going to make
some myself. Turns out we haven't got any such thing, don't think anyone
has been hit with the inspiratio before. So I'll make a prototype and pass
it by our fearless leader *grin* just so I'll be ready when the tour happens
this coming April.
As long as, dear Lord, the tour is not on April 9, otherwise will have to
reschedule my menfolk's doctor appointment. Times like those, one could
dearly wish for a driver on call, so said driver could drop me at the
rendezvous point for the tour and then bring menfolk to Makati Med, and then
pick me up after the tour arrives back in Manila. Ah, well.
In other news: phone-paid the cable TV and the cable internet. Tomorrow I
go to the bank to pay off a bill. Life goes on, quite as usual - with the
addition of writing time in my life, which is casting a soft glow of
contentment over the landscape. *grin*
Will sign off here. Am getting more sleepy by the minute!
