micro-wayback machine post
Because my ISP went and died on me at the exact moment I was going to post
this entry. *huffs* So I saved everything via the Notes function of Opera.
This morning, fired up the netbook (signal having been restored), opened
and closed Opera in order to sync settings with the Opera server, closed
netbook, fired up laptop - and here's the entry all ready for cut-n-paste.
Fun!
In other news: the meeting I thought was for this morning, is actually for
this afternoon. *smile* Can go have a slow breakfast after I put this up.
*surveys the day with satisfaction*
Typing this in the dark, waiting for Darklette come around for her
night-time snack.
It's been a good day. Rose the maid went on her day off, and left a chicken
marinating for lunch. All I had to do was pop it into the turbo broiler and
voila, a beautiful roast that had all the cats demanding a share at the
table.
Manny Pacquiao won his latest fight, and there is much jubilation in the
Philippines as a result. *grin* Traffic and crime were pretty much
non-existent - Rose could not find a bus to bring her home, her brother
opined that all the drivers were busy drinking to celebrate Pac-Man's
victory.
Uploaded the chapters of my latest Shadow Skill/Fort Lyvalle AU story to
FF.net and Mediaminer. Simmering the ideas for the next chapter, and cannot
wait to start typing it out. Discovered that of 10 fics on FF.net, two are
pulling in the most visitors. *chuckle* Well, whatever floats their boat. I
just need an archive or two besides my fanfic blog to store my fics online,
and if the archive stories get read, I'm ok with that.
Did laundry. Lots and lots of laundry, with a new organic detergent that
smells really nice and dissolves easily in the wash water. Lots of sun
today, so clothes dried with that wonderful scent you only get from having
them sit in the sun to dry.
Had a nap - slept through the delayed telecast of the Pacquiao-Clottey
fight, because (a) I was sleepy, (b) it was boring. Slept so deeply I almost
didn't want to wake up, it felt so good.
Went to Santuario to light candles for Ma's parents and deceased brothers.
It being Sunday, the parking lot was full for the 4.30pm Mass, but managed
to snag the last available space behind Rustan's anyway. Whee!
Finished "simple" slide presentation for WOMFI kit. It will have to do for
now, but I hope to modify it into something better in the future. Scouted
out the house where tomorrow's meeting is going to be held, and as hubby
predicted, it's at the lower end of "Embassy Row" on Acacia Road. Should be
interesting to see what it looks like on the inside.
So not that eventful a day. Hot, which doesn't encourage much activity -
unless it's thinking up something new for a fanfic. *grin*
Oho. Darklette and Sakki have arrived for their night snack. Will feed them,
round up the other chibis, then can shower and do beauty stuff, maybe come
back online later. :)
