It was the day after Christmas
More or less back to normal, now that Christmas Day has come and gone.
There are still traces of the holiday spirit in the air, and plans for
food preparations are still ticking away in my head. Macaroni salad, with
ham bits and other stuff sounds good, don't you think?
Not much to report. Today was laundry day, and it was the perfect kind of
day for laundry, too - hot and bright. There's definite difference to
laundry that's been sun-dried and laundry that's been dryer-dried; I like
the former much better.
Finished one writing assignment and must bend my thoughts to another. Why
inspiration only comes to me at the eleventh hour, I'm sure I don't know.
But I am leaning towards making a resolution not to write things for anyone
until I finish off some projects of my own. I've got a lot of stuff I've
put aside for the sake of others, but I think in 2010, I should hone my
craft by working on projects that have piled up. Now to find the strength
to be polite and firm when I say "No" is another issue altogether.
Transferred the pictures I took yesterday, but haven't had a chance to
preview them on the laptop, how is that for getting distracted?
No naps today. Hormones are acting up, so now I find myself wanting a cup
of coffee. Too late for that, though - may as well go demolish one of the
Starbucks filled buns that blessed the house yesterday, courtesy of my BFF
and my goddaughter. But first, need to bring in the cats, and have a
wash-up.
Tomorrow is grocery day. Have also written up the list of prescriptions
that need to be refilled. I'll wait till 9pm, then go looking about for the
cats. Will patch together another blog entry tomorrow, I hope.
