I Saw The Cars In Traffic, Yea, On Christmas Day In The Morning
I don't know if y'all will find this funny, but it seemed so at the time.
Time: Christmas Day 2009, around 11am.
Setting: On the Tagaytay Ridge road, coming up on the tail end of traffic
backed up from the rotonda. Family (parents and husband) staring in awe at
the traffic in the opposite lane, apparently backed up from Tagaytay
Highlands, if not Palace in the Sky, and going all the way back to the
rotonda.
Hubby: Wow. Looks like everyone is celebrating your birthday, darling!
Me: Yup. *waves hands* (please note, car was stationary!) That's why they
should all move! Now! To make way for the celebrant!
Hubby: *laughs*
Me: I can just imagine my co-celebrant is looking down from heaven right now
and facepalming, "Oh, my dear, incorrigible child..."
Which made us both laugh. At which point we found the diversion road that
bypassed all the traffic and got us all the way to Gourmet's without further
incident. :)
