I Know What I Did Last Week. At least, I think I do.
Funny how things work out. All this time between the last post and this one, I've been telling myself I ought to pull things together and write up a proper post instead of letting folks put up with the Twitter logs (some of which, I've discovered, didn't post thanks to password changes and other issues). Now that I've got a blank screen and time enough for some sort of prose...I'm drawing a blank.
*sigh*
I guess that's the way of it. It's only now that I'm making up for lost sleep and decompressing from the mild tension that comes with preparing for the holidays. That my birthday falls smack bang at the first of two focal points of the season (New Year's Eve being the other); that my hormones are doing what they do best, right on schedule; these things add to the emotional roller-coaster I seem to have been riding this past week or more.
Anyhow, the Christmas plans have been executed faithfully and as of today, the gift-giving is pretty much over. The Christmas tree is up, along with its lights. The front porch window treatments are still rather bald - I have a feeling that they will come into their full glory in the exact week before Christmas Day. It is official - I have reached the part of holiday prep that has released the inner Scrooge in me, not to be quelled until December 18th; said date being not only the start of Christmas week proper, but also my 18th wedding anniversary. *smile* Can't afford to be Scroogy on such a day, y/y?
Part of me wants to reconstruct posts from my notes over the past days, and part of me wants to just shove it. *chuckle* We'll see how that turns out, shall we?
