Down time, day 1
Well, after a fairly busy round of delivering Christmas presents, I managed to stay at home all day today! *bounce* Save for the one trip to the village association office to pay the 2010 dues, I stayed home. Don't think I wasn't busy, though - the maintenance crew came to install the Christmas lights, and Dad was fussing because he's got a cold and thinks nobody loves him, and Mom was handing down instructions, and I was nursing the mother of all good morning headaches...
Ah, well. *rueful grin*
In the end, of course, everything turned out the way it was meant to be - at least the way I see it. Ma's poinsettia decorations have come down and been placed. The Christmas lights and lanterns are strung up and working. I had a nap, which went a long way to restoring my good nature (which was pretty much non-existent after arriving home yesterday). The Christmas boughs are down, which means I'll need to dress them up and hang them tomorrow. Dad went to see the barangay doctor, and came back muttering his usual spiel about all doctors being the same, issuing prescriptions, and cursing with every sneeze and cough that came out. He has exiled himself in the guest room, lest Ma catch whatever he's got.
I invented the best cure for my morning headache - fresh-brewed coffee mixed with Antonio Pueo chocolate, creme liquide, milk and sugar. Rather like a Seattle's Best cafe breve on steriods. *huge grin* Man, did it taste good, and gave my spirits a lift.
Am planning to stay home tomorrow before going off on another round of Christmas deliveries, partly to make sure Ramon gets enough rest after tagging along with me these past days. If there's one thing that should be accomplished, it's the logging of the receipts into the expense log. Those little buggers are piling up and must be shifted as soon as may be. *nods firmly*
