Sometimes an April day will suddenly bring showers

The house has settled down for the night, and so I'm taking the time to tap out a little blog post. The only major upheaval we have had is the change from one maid to two maids, although one is more of a general purpose househelp while the other will focus on cooking, though when she's not in the kitchen, she's expected to lend a hand with the dusting and so forth.

Actual management of the maids has devolved on me, which is to be expected. So far, so good. The uniforms I bought fit them nicely, and there are no complaints about having to deal with the maintenance of the kitty litter. Have introduced them to the Rainbow vacuum, and the house is starting to have that sparkle a clean house should have. I have nothing to complain about regarding the bathrooms, either.

Today I did laundry, so tomorrow will be folding day, and we shall see how things go with that. Josie will have to manage by herself for about half a day, since Rose the Cook will come with me to help with the grocery shopping. Ma has a yearning for chop suey, and since Rose once worked for a Chinoy family, I think we will get some proper cooking in that department. When she asked if I wanted thyme sprinkled on the fried fish, I nearly squeed for joy. *grin*

Updated the expense logs, and made plans for tomorrow. I need to reimburse the agency fee that I advanced for the maids; my coin bank is also full, but as I had no time to count and bag them, that will have to wait for another day.

I have to drop off the donations at the Salesians tomorrow morning after the bank. Today I finalized the taping of the boxes of stuff; and it will be good to move them out of the office space at long last.

After that, we'll all head for Cash-n-Carry and groceries will be bought, with the assistance of Rose the Cook. Side trips to CD-R King and Ace Hardware need to be made, as two insect lamps are in need of new bulbs, and I could do with a pudding case (50pcs) of DVD-Rs.

Definitely, must go to Mercury Drug and refill Ramon's prescriptions.

I did some minor re-arranging of my workstation area. Changed the position of the TV box, and the angle of the laptop stand. The area feels much better now, and I forsee many happy hours of computer usage in the future.

I remembered, after I fetched Mocha back into the house, that I have lovely cotton night shirts! So after a cooling shower (since the weather isn't quite sure what it wants to be despite raining on us for two days), I am now clad in light cotton and it feels good.

Have noticed that I am following a positive flock of CNN reporters and producers on Twitter. It is such fun watching them tweet to each other, especially the ones who are newbies to the whole thing. Some of them have already run into the classic hitch of not being able to post a proper user pic, or not being able to find themselves on search (oh, that must smart! *chuckle*)!

Mmph? Am feeling hungry. Need to go find something to munch in a little bit. So I'll sign off here. Tomorrow's going to be a bit busy, hope things stay calm on the home front while I'm out.
