My little brain cells at rest

It's been a very restful day, with just enough busy-ness to keep me from turning into a blob. **grin** However, I find that I am now too lazy to flesh out my Twitter posts in more detail (plus, it's nearly midnight, heigh-ho!) and the new lulzy wank ensuing from Stephen King commenting that Stephanie Meyers "can't write" has just driven all rational thought from my mind.

I can't get over the funny!

The Twifans have pulled the "King is just jealous" card out. Yeah, right, like the man who wrote The Shining, Cujo, The Dark Tower Series, Pet Sematery, Carrie and a host of other books would care about being displaced from his niche by an author's first (hopefully last?) vampire series.

Twifans assert that Twilight puts all the movie adaptations of King's books in the shade. So sparkly vampires beat the entire collection of Stand by Me, The Green Mile, Carrie (though to be fair, King himself is alleged to have winced a lot at this one), The Shining (srsly? RPattz over Jack Nicholson?), Dolores Claiborne, and so forth? Um.

Also included in this package of lulz are the reminisces of various members of Fandom_Wank concerning the books they read when they were in the same age bracket as the teenage Twifans. Homer, Tolkien, Shakespeare, Oscar Wilde, Pratchett, and similar.

Let's not forget the comment in which Meyer is said to have used Willoughby and Marianne as an example of perfect love. @_________@ Please, someone tell me this was pulled out of thin air, and is merely urban legend!

Anyway, on that note, I think my brain cells, they have gone pfft. And so to bed.
