Last night I watched an interesting program called "Goin' Back" where WW2 vets returned to Corregidor, Bataan, and a prison camp in Central Luzon 60 years after the war. Was your dad sationed in Luzon?

No, Daddy was stationed in Iloilo, which is in the southern part of the country. It's a province that, together with Antique and Capiz, comprise the island of Panay. It's where you'll find Boracay - our lovely (and now over commercialized) beach island with powder-soft sand that doesn't get hot even at noon.

Dad remembers when *nobody* knew about Boracay, and it was gorgeous in a primitive sort of way.
