blowing through the jasmine in my mind
Today was a fairly lazy day. The laundry is still sitting around – I just couldn't bestir myself to get it sorted. At the moment I've got AXN in the background, and having dealt with e-mails and feeds and social networks, I'm in the mood for some writing.
Was up early because the cats wanted breakfast, and I was feeling good enough to go online after giving them their food. Hence the early dispatch of e-mails and such. Went back to sleep just as the sun was sliding over the horizon, and woke up feeling blah. It's pretty much been like that the whole day...feeling well and not well by turns. Still, I managed to get through the day without too much discomfort. I had a long nap that still felt too short, but I still have my appetite, though I've been eating light foods.
The cold has actually morphed into a cough. I am very grateful that my nose is no longer dripping, of course. Fortunately, the cough doesn't surface while I sleep – so that means I get a solid sleep when I do get to bed.
Treatment in the main, is basically paracetamol if the nose gets too runny; with regular ingestion of diluted palm nut syrup, cider vinegar, and honey for the cough. Mmm, honey! ::grin:: It works just fine, in conjunction with the vitamins. Oh, the occasional Strepsil does help while waiting for the natural stuff to take hold.
I was planning on doing laundry if the sunshine held over till tomorrow. However, it is raining tonight. ::blink:: Mmm, cool weather – this should make for great sleeping for everyone tonight. Though everyone in flood-prone areas isn't likely to be too happy about the additional water coming down.
Uh-huh. The rain is getting harder. ::listens:: And even harder – the typhoon may be out in the South China Sea, but it certainly drew in a whole lot of rain clouds in its wake! Though I shouldn't be surprised, it was certainly humid enough a while ago to justify this downpour.
Problem is...I can't hear the TV now. And CSI:NY is halfway through, which is usually the best part of the show. ::loves on Gary Sinise and Eddie Cahill::

The button battery in the remote of the LCD tuner I use as a TV, went and died. Hence, I have retired the LCD tuner, and returned the Coby to service, since it's much easier to replace AAA batteries in a pinch. The signal booster has done marvels for the picture quality, and with a little tweak in the sound setup, I've got a nifty little media center next to me.
Will be keeping the other tuner as a spare, since the only thing it needs is a battery.

Tweaked the iBook. It now has Audacity, photo editing and the printer software loaded, so at some point, I can work on the humungous backlog of pictures from the phonecam. Maybe if I push everything aside for a few days, I can come up current-dated on them. We'll see how that goes.
Been wondering if there's a better place than Photobucket to put the photos, though. Or if I should just turn them into slide shows and put those up. Time to experiment, now I've got a dedicated machine for that. ::smile::
Better close now, I have a little drabble percolating in my head that wants to be written. Catch you when I catch you!
:)

The writing was going very well until sleep took over. It's a good feeling.

These days, though, something along the lines of "Monsoon Winds" would be more suitable to the weather.
