I've got CSI:Miami replays on TV, and primed my throat with cough syrup. So if anything sounds a wee bit off the wall, chalk it up to self-medication. ::grin::
I had a fairly quiet day. Rest and recuperation. Finished the bottle of Tuseran a few moments ago, and am now having the time of my life coughing up gunk. NOT! Still, I did notice that when I sat down to dinner, the food actually looked and tasted good. One sure sign that I am not well? I go completely off my feed. The mere act of eating becomes anathema to me, and given how much of a foodie I am, that says a lot.
Anyhow, dinner was the best I've had since I started with this post-nasal drip cold - even if it was only a cup of almondigas with rice. Pork meatballs and noodles swimming in broth, YUM.
Turned in an article assignment today - before deadline! This gives me a measure of satisfaction. I did the best I could while laboring under the influence of cold medicine; it is to be hoped that said article manages to do its job.
Gaaaah. I think I should switch to an antitussive now that I've done with the need for an expectorant. Every time I cough now, it feels like my brain cells are rattling around inside my skull. ::moan::
Moved all the downloads from the Linux partition into the Maxtor drive, thereby freeing up 2GB of space on the iBook. Someday I should schedule a burn session (gee, haven't I said this before?) and get these files archived before I forget why I started downloading various series in the first place.
Speaking of which, one of my favorite programs is going off the air tomorrow. ::sniffle:: I like The Singing Bee - it's the closest thing I've got to a guilty pleasure. Besides, I think singers Michael Cruz and Apple Chiu are cute. ::nods:: The show is basically your "fill in the song lyrics" kind of thing, but everyone - contestants and audience and crew, seemed to have a whole lot of fun. And what's not to love at playing the "Hey! I know that song!" game? ABS-CBN just lost a viewer, not that I'll be noticed among the horde of thousands already watching its innumerable soap operas.
Got to go to the kitchen and hydrate myself. Tomorrow Ramon goes to have his monthly check-up. Maybe I'll get my throat looked at too, while I'm at it? Will let you know in the next post.

Lately it seems that's the only kind I find adorable. And they're extending the run of the show. All I got to listen to was Aiza Seguerra singing a few bars, but I caught the part where the host said they're not going off the air yet. So yayness for us!

Ramon aka Beloved Hubby, at the end of the show, went, "Sabi ko nga ba, nagpapakipot lang..."
But srsly - when that show does go off the air? I hope the dancers and the orchestra and the singers find a show to adopt them. Cesar Montano can always find a job any time he wants.
