Post-nasally yours
I've finally finished that writing assignment that I actually had two months to work on, but shoved onto the back burner more times than is really decent. But it's done now, and I can sleep with a clear conscience.
Did the laundry today. Which is to say the equation runs something like this: My clothes+Ramon's clothes+bed linens+Ma's seat covers+throw pillows = one satisfied me. I actually didn't want to do the laundry today, as the sun was playing peekaboo with the clouds, and there was even rain early this morning. However, at around 10AM, the sun came out in all its glory, and so did the wash. Not bad.
The LTO called, and I picked up the registration stickers and documents for the Innova. She is now covered for another year, which is good.
As long as I was out and about (by myself! Left Ramon peacefully napping in his rocking chair and didn't bother waking him.) I figured I might as well see what groceries I could pick up at Rustan's Forbes. Turned out I managed to wipe out the entire list – well, except maybe I could have bought more beef, but whatever – and that makes me happy, because it means I have one less set of errands to do on Sunday.
Got an SMS at three pm for a meeting at six pm. I begged off, pleading a previous engagement (and dinner with the family qualifies as one, but nobody needed to know that), and will get my assignment via text. I no longer consider three hours before the event, sufficient notice to command my presence, unless we are talking ER/deathbed attendance here. Especially since no one at home had any idea that I'd gone to the LTO in the first instance, let alone to Rustan's in the second instance.
I did get an SMS from hubby asking where I'd gone, saying he missed me. Awwww. Good thing he messaged me, or I wouldn't have picked up his newspaper, like I normally do.
Went online to check if anything I had here in the house was any good for the post-nasal drip I've had these past two nights. Apparently Robitussin/Guafenesin can help, as can carbocisteine and Sinutab. Have been trying a Sinutab+carbocisteine combo. Took two teaspoons of Robitussin just now, and experienced much better results. So I guess I know what my bedtime medicine is. The bad news is, this may be due to a cold, which means I've got four more days of discomfort to live through. Augh. But as long as it doesn't get any worse, I'm all right with things.
Time to sign off. Have got a morning meeting in Greenhills tomorrow, and this cough syrup is making me sleepy. Catch you when I catch you!
