I was discussing Asian cuisine with Llama the other day and the question came up. Is ginger used much in Filipino cooking?

::smile:: Why, yes, indeed it is, and please send my best regards to Llama when you inform him of the fact. I trust all goes as well as it can in the Casa?

In fact...here is a recipe (http://www.allfavoriterecipe.com/RecipeDetailTinolangManok.aspx) for chicken ginger stew aka tinolang manok, a great favorite during the rainy season. I swear that nothing tastes better coming in from the cold and wet than a bowl of this soup.

What prompted this was I found a recipe for ginger-glazed shrimp. Since seafood is so plentiful on the Costa de Llama, I thought we could try it during an upcoming visit. Now all I ahve to find is ginger preserves.
