  • 11:50 working on the Blue PC. have downloaded gajillion pics from the 1GB camera card, upgraded Opera/Avast/Vista Starter.
  • 13:05 lunch is done. have tentative date at Rockwell with best friend/kumare later.
  • 13:08 internet connection is burping. sometimes it's zipping along, then suddenly, it flops.
  • 13:29 installed two optional updates for Blue laptop (hm, needs name...) and things are still working. ::grin::
  • 13:30 twhirl is finally up - connection woke up out of its siesta and let me install.
  • 13:33 so, the Blue laptop has her name: Blauer Engel/Blue Angel. aka Lili Marlene after the star of that movie, Ms. Marlene Dietrich. :)
  • 13:48 ho-kay! Lili Marlene now has VLC installed.
  • 14:21 Lili Marlene's new software: Videora iPod Converter. So it pretty much looks like I've got the photo and video bases covered at last.
  • 14:50 ::sigh:: rediscovered the Stoik Video Converter, and then I added DivX codec to the Blauer Engel. Here's to experimenting with settings!
  • 14:57 well, i found a nice generic profile that turns up decent results. now to raid the chips stash.
  • 15:13 raid on chips stash postponed in favor of trying out windows movie maker. pity you can't add your own soundtrack, like iMovie.
  • 15:14 but if you need a quickie pito-pito production for YouTube, WMM will do nicely! :)
  • 15:26 well, du-uh. of *course* you can add soundtrack in WMM. ::headdesk::
  • 15:28 tentative sugarhouse date rainchecked. time to get some more sugar into my system.
  • 20:00 this is shameful! Teri Hatcher must be laughing all the way to the bank with this: snurl.com/24ven
  • 20:54 BPAL has a loot bag for the CBLDF where Neil Gaiman is appearing. I can hear the cries of anguish from those who can't afford $500 VIP tix.
  • 20:55 BPAL loot bag contents: Orange (new fragrance), scent locket, imps of three Gaiman perfumes. Sweet!
  • 21:19 trimmed some feeds off Google Reader. I figure if I mark them as read without reading them, no point in keeping them.
  • 22:03 hubby is watching "Adrift". premise: everyone on a sailing boat jumps into the water for a swim. without putting down the anchor...
  • 22:04 ...OR putting down the ladder. and there's a baby left on board. AND it's based, allegedly, on a true story. the mind boggles.
