On Vox: All caught up, with time to do more
OK. Dinner's done, the chicken was a success, I'm full. The TV is on the infomercial channel and it's fun checking out the products that are being hawked. All things considered though, unless it's something I'm going to be using myself, I'm not all that into buying a product. As it is, getting the maids to use the Magic Mops was such a pain in the butt...I had to confiscate the old brooms first!
Accomplishment of the day: Running Dad's laundry through the machine. Even if I did fall asleep after dumping the second load into the washer, and only started the bleach load just before sitting down to lunch. However, the wash did get done in the end, and the blazing hot sun dried and freshened them in no time flat. I still have not been able to get the maid to use the ironing board for folding the clothes - she *will* insist on folding them on her lap, which Ma cannot abide. Short of yelling, though I can't see how to make her use the ironing board since I've already given instructions several times, nicely, already. I don't have the strength to yell, not wanting to raise my blood pressure. I had quite enough of that with the previous maids, kthnx. Face it, I have lower housekeeping standards than my parents, that's for sure.
Accomplishment of the day: Started a torrent for Steam Detectives that I found. Now this is a series I loved when it first came out on TV, in English dub, I think it was? Loved it, loved it...I wonder if Animax is showing it, or will show it, in Japanese dub. I mean, if they could resurrect Slam Dunk! from the bottom of the closet, why not Steam Detectives?
Accomplishment of the day: Put together my writing assignment for the Kampana newsletter and sent it off earlier this afternoon. ::bounce:: I have redeemed myself from being late with the deadlines, yayez!
Tomorrow, another stockholders' meeting, hopefully not as exciting as this last one. This is the meeting of the mother company, Ayala Corporation, and the father of the current President and Chairman might put in an appearance - he who was my Dad's former boss. I remembered to pull out the batteries from the digi-vidcam and recharge them; let's see if I remember to put them back into the camera, ohoho.
Need to do a little grocery shopping tomorrow, as well, running low on milk and cat food.
::looks around:: Hey, I think I've got life back to normal for now! May as well see what else I can do now that I've caught up with blogging and such.
:)
