well, now!

it appears that i have come current on my LJ-Friends. this is what happens when a body turns in at a normal hour - it wakes up at THREE IN THE COLD MORNING WTH.

did random surfing and am still trying to figure out if i can live without firefox and all its extensions...because the latest webkit really renders with blazing speeds. but i loves me my extensions! ::pout::

made soup out of leftover broccoli and leftover ham. food processor was resurrected from the back of the kitchen cabinet yesterday, given a good clean-up, and used to turn ingredients into cream soup. with crackers, it tastes good, even if i'm the one who cooked it.

cats have been fed and are either dozy or playing in the front yard or empty lot. life is good. it will be much better once recurring problem with bidet fixtures is solved. on the other hand, exhaust fan in bathroom, for the win!

/end randomness

Basically, get hold of some broccoli flowers - chop 'em up fine, or use a food processor if there is one in the house. The ham I used was leftover Majestic Ham bits from Christmas (you can buy this at their booth in Rustan's Magallanes next time you visit DK). Pop those in the processor with the broccoli after slicing up the thicker pieces. Add some all purpose cream, and a little water.

Process the whole mix till smooth. It should turn an interesting green color, with red ham granules peeking through. :) Transfer to a microwave bowl, add more water to get the soup to the consistency you want. Give it all a good stir, then zap at High for about 8 minutes (take a peek about 4 minutes in to make sure it didn't boil over).

When microwave dings, remove bowl, stir, and serve with a sprinkling of Parmesan or Romano cheese. For more substance, add Bread Pan bread bits as croutons.

Buon appetito!
