Days off are fun!

Especially when they are not interrupted!

Random thoughts, Twitter-style, since I seem to be incapable of focus at the moment:

• My plans to sit down were interrupted by a sudden desire to inventory my audio/video players. Minor conniption when I connected the unit that plays AVI files to the TV and couldn't get a picture. Thought maybe it was the remote, and discovered there were no fresh AAA batteries to make it work. Turned out I was using the wrong cable, oy!


• Changed out the Philips DVD player we've been using as a stereo unit, and replaced it with the Pensonic VCD/MP3 player that's been in storage for ages. The Philips can be hooked up to the ginormous TV in the living room if necessary - or put into storage, *with* its set of cables


• Confirmed that my first VCD/MP3 player is not working. Off it will go to the Salesians, who can be relied on to get it working before it's sent to a new home. I just have to stick Post-Its to the things that need repair, and we're good to go.


• So now, I've got a video player hooked up to the DVR/TV setup; a VCD/MP3 player for the house music; a VCD/MP3 player to go to charity; and a DVD player to put into storage/standby. Good to have everything sorted out.


• My body declared its womanhood today - for the first time in my entire life, I caught things on time. Feels kinda good, that. Plus, not as uncomfortable this time around.


• The outrage and hope that Erica Hill will fail at AC360 being shown on one board...whoa, there. It's like watching a whole group of people break out into uncontrollable itching. I've decided to stop reading the posts as a result...it's unsettling. Myself, I'm looking forward to seeing how she does on her first day - which I will definitely miss if she comes on board on Monday (Tuesday here) instead of February 1.


• I have looked under the marital bed, and it is FILTHY. Tomorrow appearing to be a free day - that is, no outstanding appointments - I will attempt to vacuum it with the high-tech Rainbow vacuum that hardly ever gets used. Well, that has to change!

That about fixes it for the day. I've got stuff to do tomorrow - let's see if I can cross anything off my To Do list.
