Rainy days are here
I managed to get in a very long morning nap today, and my outlook on the domestic situation appears to have improved somewhat. However, it being mid-month, I am now about to enter my hormonal phase, which sort of balances things out in the stress department.
Accomplishments of the day include:
* picking up the 21-inch TV from the shop. total cost, including parts and labor=Php1300.00. not bad, and we have a working bedroom TV again!
* reconfigured the computer corner so that the 12-inch TV is hooked up to the DVR. it's good for the widdle baby to get some use, and it's a nice bright little thing.
* the Coby 7-inch will now become my portable tech toy of choice, beating out even my iPod, haha. portable Anderson Cooper for waiting time, how's that for you? ::broad grin::
* I now have a working toilet flush, thanks to the ever-faithful maintenance crew; to balance this out, the toilet tank has a hairline crack in it - since it's not leaking, it could be just the outer porcelain finish. monitoring is in order!
* also, cobbled together paksiw na lechon from leftover frozen sauce and day-old lechon. adjusted the flavor a little bit, and it turned out all right.
* sent off an overdue (again, woe) article for the Kampana newsletter. hopefully all concerned will be pleasantly surprised when they check their e-mail!
This rainy weather is a siren song luring me to an early night. I might just do that, after all the late nights I've been pulling since the New Year arrived. I've got blankets, I've got flannel jammies, I've got a peacefully sleeping husband across the hall.
Life is good.
