Spinning wheel, round and round
Currently watching the replay of the CNN Heroes special. I am in major squee mode to have discovered Masi Oka presenting the award to John Smeaton, of Glasgow Airport fame. Best tandem ever. Anderson is doing a marvelous job as emcee.
Just finished addressing the Christmas cards that I've scheduled to go out on December 10. This not something I would normally do at night, but the morning was devoted to bringing the parents out and about. We've started distributing the ensaimada, to the delight of the recipients.
Had lunch at Italianni's. So-so. Though to be brutally honest about it, I do enjoy eating out more if I'm either by myself or with Ramon. It gets challenging to pick something when you're allegedly given carte blanche, then when the food arrives, it gets nitpicked to within six inches of its life. ::sigh:: Ah, well; one learns to deal.
Brought parents for their eye check-ups. They have better vision than I do, yayz! Dr. Batungbacal was disposed to be chatty, and for several minutes while he was waiting for a patient, regaled us with tales of his younger days in Europe. Oh, the escapades he got into! ::grin::
Dropped by the bone-setter before going home. As I thought, I needed quite a bit of realignment - my chest, my lower-middle back, and my hipbone all needed to be clicked back into place. Now I can breathe more easily, and the ache that plagued my pelvic area for three days is gone now. ::bounce::
Tomorrow our schedule goes something like this: hospital for blood test, breakfast at Jollibee (to get the free newspaper), Mass for the Immaculate Conception. Then home. Finish the Christmas cards, and whatever else can be managed.
Sunday we pay the cemetery caretaker and give him his Christmas present. Then the reflexology center for a session.
Guess it's time to go. More news as it happens...if not here, then on my Twitter. Ciao!

The special was a CNN production to honor the unsung, unknown, everyday people who are involved in projects to make the world a better place. Being a sometime fan of Masi Oka - whom I think is cute; and John Smeaton - whose story had me cheering from the beginning; I thought it was just too cute to see them both on stage at the same time. Plus, Smeaton was in a dress kilt, which I thought was utterly marvelous.
