There's a cat beside me, and all's well in her world.
Buchi-cat just came in from "taking the air" and is happily fixing herself up for the night. This of course involves blocking the view of the TV, and there will be some argument about that before we are both content.
There's a tiny ache around my right hip, which means that I should go visit the bonesetter soon. In the meantime, a good slather with the Omega painkiller lotion is working wonders. Announced to my husband that I was feeling old and arthritic, and he gave me a cuddle. ::loves on hubby::
Spent most of the day offline, attending to the following:
Despite this rather impressive list, all I have to show for my efforts are neat shelves. The daybed is a wreck, but I'm going to take care of that after the maintenance crew has finished with the interior stuff. I still have no idea how to arrange the front entrance decor - but then again, I've always gone with a wing and a prayer and the results end up quite the photographer's delight. Even if I'm the one who says so. ::grin::
Have managed to read through mail, LJ-Friends and feeds, so can consider myself au courant as far as my online life is concerned. Was taken totally by surprise by the Six Apart announcement. I hope this doesn't herald talk of another mass exodus...after six years and $$ spent for a permanent account, I'm not going anywhere. Of all my journal accounts, this is the one that I keep coming back to (well, aside from Wordpress, that is). If various fandoms migrate, I'd probably be able to live without them; one can do without the flamewars and wankery very easily.
As the soaps say, "Stay tuned for more of the continuing story...!"
