Bed Weather

Christmas is definitely coming. The weather is cool and cloudy, the humidity that was such a bother over the summer is just a pale memory. The sun is up late and down early - time to get serious about the social obligations of the holidays. I've decided to just give everyone boxes of ensaimada or baskets of fruit...which means it's time to make the list of names.

The boxes of decor will come down before the first Sunday of Advent, and not a moment sooner. ::nods:: Fortunately I appear to be getting my strength back, so maybe this year...

Today, nothing much of importance. Routine - which is something my life has lacked for quite a while - seems to be settling in. This is a good thing, after all the tossing about I went through several months ago. Reviewing my backlog, I was pleasantly surprised to see the projects I was able to close this year, and what I was able to catch up on these three months past. It's a nice feeling.

I note with satisfaction that my pile of magazines waiting to be read has actually shrunk to the latest issues. I have immediately consigned the magazines I finished to the charity box, for delivery during the Christmas weeks.

Tomorrow, there being no Qi Gong, will be filing of papers day. Will be offlline for as long as it takes to finish that, set up the tip envelopes, and create that list of people who are to get fruits and goodies and contributions for their support.

So now that I've gone through all the online stuff, time to see if I can't work on some photo sets to post to the Multiply account.

How early do they start playing holiday music on the radio?
In the next few days, one Detroit station is going to flip to the holiday music format. And I won't listen to it for the next two months. Christmas carols 7 weeks before 12/25 is too much. Bah humbug!

Ahahaha...there was the one station started doing a countdown in SEPTEMBER. The carols started trickling in mid-September, and are now out in full force. There will be songs until the second Sunday of January, which is the Feast of the Three Kings/Epiphany, which is the official end of the holidays here.

One year we had a radio station start playing a Christmas carol in JULY, just to creep everyone out...
