In case you caught it on TV

For those of you who know that the Glorietta Mall in Makati is my mall of choice - I just want all of you to know that neither I or any member of my immediate family, was in the area of the mall that was hit by the kick-butt explosion that showered debris on cars and blew out the skylight cover at the entrance of Glorietta 2.

Repeat: everyone in my household is safe and sound. But please spare a prayer for those who died (5) and were injured (43 as of this posting and still counting).

That said, I have nothing but contempt for the IDIOT AM RADIO REPORTER who charged into the Makati Medical ER and tried to interview the people being brought into critical care. I hope hospital security threw him out, because WTF man. How dare you drag your bacteria into the triage area!

I was worried. *hugs* I'm glad you are safe.

**hugs you back**

Ramon was just saying what a good thing it was that we didn't have time to drop by the area in question for lunch, or we would have been sending CNN i-Reports from my mobile phone, or from the hospital we'd just left after his cardio checkup!

The good news: Ramon's heart and diabetes are responding well to medication, and his next appointment is in December. Woot!

So glad you're all okay! ::hugs::

::squish::

Not only all okay, but also with clean bills of health for Ramon's heart and Ma's eye. Yosh!

Hopped right on here after seeing the news, looking for a post from you. It always feels selfish to be grateful when people have died, but man am I glad you and yours are safe.

That said, I have nothing but contempt for the IDIOT AM RADIO REPORTER who charged into the Makati Medical ER and tried to interview the people being brought into critical care. I hope hospital security threw him out, because WTF man. How dare you drag your bacteria into the triage area!

I'd try to be sympathetic, saying maybe he didn't know better, BUT HE'S IN THE BLOODY MEDIA!!! I hope hospital security strapped him down until someone else came to arrest him!

He has no excuse - he is a *veteran* reporter! ::seethes::

My parents and I were at the opthalmologist, as it happens, to have Ma's eyes checked; the clinic is just a corner away from the Makati Medical Center. We passed the fire trucks and emergency services on our way past the mall, which is on our way home.

Hubby, who was safe at home after his visit to the cardiologist at Makati Med earlier, was saying it was a good thing we didn't have a yearning to eat on the way home. Else we would have been sending CNN i-Reports from either the blast site or the hospital! ::whacks hubby with pillow::

p/s - both Ma and Ramon have had clean bills of health from their respective doctors. God is good!

Hey. You did catch Anderson Cooper on Colbert right?

Just a quick FYI if you didn't know.

Yes, I did know, but unfortunately local cable TV doesn't appreciate The Colbert Show - not a single channel airs it around here! At least there's the Comedy Central site - a clip is up already!
