I caught myself just now, trying to watch Quest, read LJ_Friends, and comfort husband after his very uncomfortable run-in with constipation. Once I realized this, I dropped everything and went down to the kitchen to make me a cup of coffee to accompany the writing of this entry. Have taken that delicious first sip, and now all is well.

Today was a good day all around. Brought the parents to Dr. Batungbacal for their post-op checkup, and both passed with flying colors. Ma is now wondering why she was ever afraid of being operated on, now that she has better vision than she's had in years. ::loves Ma::

SM Makati afterwards. Toddled about the fourth floor, where - I kid you not - the Christmas tree display is up in total splendor. Ma had a ball admiring all the things on the floor, which happens to be the home section of the department store. Introduced the parents to the Prestige Lounge and left Dad happily perusing the paper while I dragged Ma into the appliance center. When she wanted to go sit, I put her back with Dad in the lounge, and then toddled off to the third floor. That's the ladies' section, and I simply *splurged* on dusters. ::grin:: Half of them were for Ma anyway, since they are comfortable on the skin and wash well.

Got back with my booty, and then lunch was had a Cafe Ilustrado. I had the lengua con setas, and it was quite good! Parents split a bowl of kare-kare, and then we all had nougat ice cream for afters.

From there, it was back to the ladies' section so that Ma could enjoy picking out some more stuff for herself, and I wound up getting some new sleep shirts, whee!

Home after that, to comfort hubby and offer him some hot soup and crackers before settling him for a nap. He was complaning of a chill, mainly because we had a cloudburst and the temperature dropped amazingly fast. So tossed a cotton blanket over him, and now calm reigns over the house.

Parents have gone to church. I've missed Quest, but The Screening Room is on, spolighting the Venice Film Festival. Alessio Vinci is pinch-hitting for the regular host, who just turned into a new mother between the last telecast and this one. I think I could like this program, after all. They have wicked cool trailers.

Muh? Why is my AC360 podcast not complete? This is the second time this has happened, and it's disappointing. Even without AC anchoring, I would think whoever sent out the podcast would make sure everyone else got their airtime as well.

So I've come full circle, and I'll be back to the LJ_Friends in a little bit. Ciao!
