To heck with backdating ^__^
Let me just gather my thoughts together and see what I remember of yesterday, then I'll write up today's events in another post later tonight. Hmm...Ok. I got my AC360 fix, which spent 9/10ths of the time on OJ, which got regular watchers all a-wailin' and a-weeping. Oh, well. Either that or be scooped by the other networks, and really, what news network worth its salt would want to be behind the competition? My man Cooper looked pretty good, though - even if he did confess, in the very welcome banter with Prime News' Erica Hill, that he was doped up to the gills in TheraFlu. Looks like the shift between the weather in Baghdad and New York came up to bite him, poor sweetie! Then Citibank, to get a little money from my "stash" account, as well as Ma's budget for her cataract operation. This went over like melted butter, which gave Ramon and I time to have lunch at Sakura in Glorietta. Two plates of sushi, a plate of tuna magiri, and a bowl of chickent rice each. ::burp::SM next. Scoped out Surplus Shop, but didn't see anything worth the buying. Deposited Ramon at the prestige lounge while I went and got myself one of those China-made MP4 players. You know, so that I could have something to run video-podcasts on? My new stainless steel baby (am almost tempted to call it Gunmetal Gray, after a certain CNN correspondent's hair, ehem!) has 1GB internal memory, and a 1GB miniSD card - which is just about right for killing time, especially if one has AC, Richard Quest, and Larry King Live to fill up. Will I use it as an MP3 player? Maybe... As it is, I've decided to load a mix of audio podcasts and music on the iPod, so that it doesn't atrophy. Have to teach Ramon how to load MP3 files into the old Benq later, too. From SM Makati, we proceeded to Santuario. Besa's Shoe Repair on the second floor, to have Ma's shoes fixed. BPI ATM to deposit my fresh funds. Rustan's to buy a bag of coffee beans. Then home in the pouring rain.Had a bit of a saga with the new MP4 player. The instruction manual wasn't very helpful, and the player uses the proprietary AMV format. Fortunately, after looking at instructions and then doing some Googling, I managed to (a) figure out how to browse the flash drive and (b) how to install the video converter and (c) how to convert videos! The software is PC-based (buuuu), so the converter is installed on Ramon's Acer. Thankfully, the Iomega external drive is recognized by both PC/Mac, so I didn't have to worry about loading the videos into his hard drive in order to convert them. Whee!Very, very early this morning, after the Mocha The Cat woke me up, I converted a few more files and loaded them into the new shiny toy, where they provided a lot of entertainment while getting things done at the hospital. But that's another entry, for later. Now, I'm off to have a nap.^__^
