Watching the Emmys - 4

* Kelsey Grammer and Patricia Heath. Outstanding Comedy Series: 30 Rock wins, cast high-fives and it's another mass exodus towards the stage. That is a whole *lot* of people there! "I want to thank the parents, spouses, and gay partners of every one involved..."

(Comment on local commercial - a person shares *with* someone else, and not *to* someone else, right? Grrrr.)

* Helen Mirren in a gown that blows away nearly everything worn by the younger set. Outstanding Drama Series: The Sopranos - and I am not surprised at all. Mass movement towards the stage yet again. Hugs, general jubilation from the peanut gallery. Standing ovation, in which I see Mariska Hargitay and Tom Selleck in the candid shots.

And it ends! With the least view of any host that I've ever seen, really. Makes me wish the red carpet and the after party were telecast here too. Ah, well, there's The Insider and all the ET shows for that...
