The Sound of Silence

Silence is a blessed thing, when the silence means that one's husband is sleeping deep and peaceful after having a day without even the merest hint of acid in his tummy. God is good, and we continue to live in hope.

Today felt rather like we'd emerged on the other side of a battle or a natural disaster. You know, the calm in the first few minutes after a typhoon ends, when you take a tentative look at how things are in the world. I'm hazy about the morning details - but I do know that the maids accompanied Ramon and I to church for the noon Mass.

After that, I brought Ma to the reflexologist, and boy was it good to have my feet gone over. Then to the Cash-n-Carry Express, beside which is now a spanking new Mercury Drug. Whee! A short stop at Rustan's Santuario to buy rice, then home to find hubby well and relaxed.

Cooked dinner. Nothing much to it - one skinned Italian garlic sausage, three pieces of chicken, a little marinade, a packet of chicken noodle soup, a potato, an onion, and two cloves of garlic, plus water enough to make soup for four people. Turned out rather well...a lukewarm reception, but what the heck. It tasted good, and hubby liked it. That's all that really matters.

Found some more Anderson videos to fangirl over, also discovered yesterday was the 4th anniversary of AC360 on air. So now Mama Mary's birthday will forever be associated with my new TV boyfriend. ::chuckle:: Now that the man is going to be reporting live from Iraq all this week, I hope he'll be safe throughout...though I bet he's loving every minute of the time he's there. ::grin::

So now I sign off, and hopefully things will continue as they have today. Thank you, thank you, thank you so very much for your love and prayers and support. It's helped more than you know!
