Thanks for blessings...

Ramon finally had a good night, and now I am hyper enough to play with my drabbles and twiddle with files that need downloading and transferring to the portable hard drive.

There isn't really much to say about the day. Ramon, thanks to medicine and home remedies, appears to have conquered the gastritis. As is usual when I write my journal entries, he is sleeping comfortably (I just peeked at him, so you know), and I do pray the worst has passed us by. I'll let you all know by the time the week of Ramon's gastritis medicine is up.

In other news: I got my AC360 fix, and laughed my way through the banter with Erica Hill where he shows off the nummy biceps that were on display during the Katrina special - by crushing a soft drink/beer can with one hand. ::dissolves into fangirl laughter:: My gun, let me show you it, I believe it would translate into lolcat-speak. (And if I hear *that* on AC360, I will *die*, I tell you. Having heard "internets", it's probably just a matter of time.)

Went to the bank to deposit a very welcome check, which means cash on hand to cover some necessary bills for the month. Also, had a honey-glazed doughnut and a cafe mocha at Starbucks, thus giving Ramon an excuse to devour the newspapers. We have a new rating system - any establishment we enter that does not have complimentary newspapers is immediately subjected to nitpicking. ::grin:: "What kind of a coffee shop is this, that doesn't have newspapers? That's the whole point of going to a coffee shop, to read the papers with your coffee..."

Headline on newsfeeds: Krispy Kreme in financial trouble. Wonder if the local franchise will be affected? Most likely not - the day it opened, you'd think people had never seen a doughnut before. Just like the way McDonald's opened, back in the day, when you had people six deep at the Glorietta branch (before Glorietta had a roof, mind you).

Did a little spring-cleaning and files rearrangement. Emerged dusty and itchy but well-satisfied with the way things turned out. A long cool shower fixed things up, and all is well. Going through various working papers, I threw out everything that didn't have my name on it, which will make the recyle man happy.

Have set up a new travel diary for posting. At the rate I am going, by next year I should *finally* be able to start on the photo albums! ::dies::

The Daily Show is still on replay mode. Not surprising, since Jon and Stephen are both on vacation (good on them, their families deserve the time - as do their other projects, if any). Still, I miss new episodes...but then the 10th isn't that far away, so it's all good.

Guess I'll stop here, and get me to bed. Or maybe tweak my drabbles some more. The one that will never see the light of day is getting longer! A series of scenes with not much of a plot between scene changes, but entertaining enough. 'Tis fluffy, that much I will say; and takes the phrase "playing with the characters" very literally.

Too bad the Colbert/Stewart duo is on vacation. they probably would've had a field day with actor/former senator Fred Thompson announcing his presidential candidacy on the Leno show.

Between the Craig story and Thompson announcing his candidacy, there's a whole lot of material just waiting to be mined by those two, I'm thinking!
