Housewifery and Things
I paid for my day of leisure with a full day of housekeeping yesterday, but it was worth it. The schedule looked something like this:5.00 AM - Open the kitchen door and set out stuff for breakfast prep
6.00 AM - Supervise breakfast prep, gardener arrives
7.00 AM - Read through mail and feeds, bring laundry hampers down
8.00 AM - Have breakfast with family while first laundry load runs, vegetable van arrives
9.00 AM - Sort through receipts and post, dump loose change in the piggy bank, start downloads
10.00 AM - Put AC360 on the living room TV and enjoy huge close-ups of Anderson Cooper
11.00 AM - Check on lunch preparations, another laundry load into the machine
12.00 NN - Lunch, final laundry load into the machine
1.00 PM - Sort through papers and file
2.00 PM - Don't remember what I did from here till about 3.00 PM @__@
3.00 PM - Defrost chicken for dinner
4.00 PM - Start burning off files from the hard drive
6.00 PM - Dinner, continue burning files off hard drive
8.00 PM - Call in the cats from the garage for bedtime
9.00 PM - Security office calls, should we allow delivery of new maid? Yes.
10.00 PM - New maid arrives. Turnover process takes longer than necessary because of Dad's fudging about fees.
11.00 PM - Soothe thumping bumping brain with Jon Stewart and The Daily Show
12.00 MN - Anime file burn-off completed, as is file convention revision. Bed.
Today was another day of relative leisure. Spent the morning orienting the new maid to the household routine. After lunch, picked up Dad's glasses and Philhealth papers at the Batungbacal clinic; then Ramon and I had merienda (afternoon tea) at Max's SM Makati. Tried the new pancit luglog and the vegetable spring roll bites. All washed down with Pepsi and water. Php 350 for the lot, and we were full afterwards!Surplus Shop next. Emerged victorious, as Ramon finally found the cardigan/sweater he has been searching for since forever. He also found a nice shirt that looks mighty fine on him, indeed it does. I came out with these dressy camisole blouses to wear under the blazers that I no longer need for office wear; my church wardrobe has now become quite respectable as a result!Watson's to pick up a can of Glucerna SR for Ramon's breakfast, then took a look around in the lobby displays before heading home. Got a chance to catch an episode of Ellen that I hadn't seen before, and now I'm about to start on with Clean House. ::grin::So that pretty much sums up everything for the past two days. Tomorrow is the weekend, and we're defrosting the freezer. Hoyay!^__^
