Recap - August 5, 2007 (additional details)
(Am on a roll with the recaps here - this will be the sixth one I've completed today. Then we'll be seeing a marathon cross-posting session to LiveJournal, WordPress, and Vox. The Multiply account will be updated automatically as well, seeing as I've linked it to LiveJournal. Woot!)
Here's the detailed report that goes with the original post on the day itself:
Started by dropping off Ramon at Santuario for the 9.00AM Mass - and promptly forgetting to give him the envelope for the missions that's been sitting in my wallet for nearly three weeks now. ::facepalm:: Had my usual Sunday Starbucks ritual, and then after Ramon emerged from Mass, we dropped by S&R to check out the glucosamine+chondriotin supplement that he can take for his aching shoulder. He was a bit iffy about the price, but when I pointed out that we'd pay as much to consult an orthopedist, he was willing to give it a try.
After picking up the vitamins and a few other things, we stopped for lunch. Ramon had a cheeseburger and I tried the pasta at Lavazza, and I had a bottomless soda to wash everything down. The pasta was good - but I think the bread may have been old. It certainly didn't taste the way fresh bread tastes, so that was a negative point. Otherwise, a good meal overall.
Next stop was National Bookstore, to pick up two more Save-n-Store boxes for the rest of the filing system. These were tossed into the car, and then it was on to the SM department store, to pick up some frames for the postcards from Tokyo Disneyland and the handkerchief from Kyoto that I unearthed during the general cleaning of the office. Then on to the Supermarket, where additional groceries were purchased, among them, fish for the cats.
Once home, the groceries were unloaded and put away, and I got back to the business of bringing order into the files that I'm supposed to be tracking. Am happy to report that I completed the reorganization of all the files, and now there are three boxes behind my office chair filled with (fairly) neatly labeled manila envelopes, following two basic rules: one item per envelope, and every envelope arranged alphabetically. I have one box just for the bills, and another box for instruction manuals and other documents. There's another box for other documents pertaining to the general household operations (genset, termite control, car insurance, etc.), so things are finally where they should be.
Framed the postcards, as well as the handkerchief, and now we just need a place to put them. Ma wants me to hang up this sort of poster on the wall, and I'm not sure I agree with the idea. The handkerchief turned out beautiful - I really should post a picture of it on the Multiply soon. ::chuckles:: Well, as soon as time and circumstance permit, anyhow.
So that's the way it went for today. The room looks like an office space should look - neat and organized!
