Recap - August 3, 2007

Today was a day of accomplishment, starting with the drop-off of all the unwanted electronics and old clothes at the Salesian Missions.  The moment we left all that stuff behind it felt *so* good, as if a weight had literally slid off my shoulders.  Can't wait to get started on deconstructing the rooms, cleaning them out, and getting them re-organized once more!

Then we went to a place that hasn't seen all that much of me for literally years now.  First stop was the PLDT office in the Ramon Cojuanco Building, so that I could claim my PLDT Rewards Card.   We parked the car under the hallway of Greenbelt 3, which meant a leisurely stroll to PLDT and then back, to have lunch at Jollibee Greenbelt 1.

Refilled Ramon's prescriptions at Mercury Drug, and then we took a leisurely stroll to the new location of The Spa at Greenbelt.  I had decided to treat myself to a much-desired head massage and a foot massage as well, if they could manage it.  Have to say that I approve of their new digs - the layout of the lockers and treatment rooms is much better than their old location.  Probably much closer to the way the owner envisioned the place to be, definitely it's much more soothing and private than it was before.

I must have been more stressed out than I realized, because I was pleasantly drowsy when the therapist started on my left foot, and totally out of it by the time she finished with my right foot!  The Indian Head Massage was just the thing I've been needing to relax my thumping bumping brain cells.  So good...!

Ramon, despite all my wheedling, declined having even a foot massage, and patiently waited for me downstairs - where the reception area has a waiting area that is eons away better from the old layout.  We then walked to National Book Store, where I picked up manila envelopes and two Store-n-Save filing boxes for the new filing system I'm setting up.  Everything will finally be in one place, and organized alphabetically, to boot.

After dropping the boxes off at the car, we went back upstairs and had coffee at The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, which was an enjoyable experience, even if it was the rush hour and the place was comfortably full.  Lots of laptops in the area, which reminded Ramon that his new toy is WiFi-capable, and if he wanted to while away the time waiting for me to finish something, he could settle down and surf the net - for the usual fee, of course.

Then home once again, and a good long look at things that needed to be done before setting out to do them after dinner.  Have made excellent headway through the filing system, and maybe by tomorrow it will be all set up.  From there, will have to take care of dusting and sorting and such.

But that's for another day.  Before anything else, I need some rest!
