Like an airport, my brain cells appear to be fogged out
But I couldn't let the day go by without putting up an entry. So, random stuff about yesterday and today.
Don't remember much of what happened yesterday - was busy. I'll figure it out when I go through the receipts that need to be posted to the expense spreadsheet. I did manage to get the car to do stuff, so it was busy.
I do know that our main stop was at the bank, to (a) get the budget for Ma's upcoming cataract surgery, (b) settle a credit card bill, and (c) finalize some investment plans with my account manager. From there, we stopped by the grocery to pick up some items, and then came home bearing groceries and the clean laundry from the laundromat. (I love a good wash-n-fold service when the weather looks like it's going to go from bad to worse!)
Then Ramon and I left home at around 4.30pm to find the St. Anthony Shrine in Sampaloc, Manila. This entailed about an hour or so in traffic, since we had to pass by Legarda, the heart of the University Belt. The church was easy enough to find; only I missed the turning because I wasn't sure if Earnshaw was one-way or two-way. But since our appointment was at 7.00pm, we had plenty of time in hand to go through Recto and into a side street in order to get to our destination. The "scenic route", if you will.
Today consisted mainly of catching up on newsfeeds and e-mail. Left LJ_Friends for tonight, and will go back to looking through the filters once I post this entry. I've switched browsers again, and have gone back to Opera, thus enabling me to toss Thunderbird and RSSOwl, since Opera has built-in mail and newsfeed functions. It's nice to have everything in one place.
Sometime after lunch, I zonked out until 5.00pm. Ramon and I went to the drugstore to refill his meds - he suggested we get a little more than is usual, in case bad weather keeps us from Mercury Drug. After that, we dropped by the supermarket, where I picked up quite a few things, and promptly forgot the sugar. @_@ Will just have to get it tomorrow.
I did manage to finish laundering the bed linens and the daybed throw pillows, and even the cover of the daybed mattress, so that's one thing out of the to-do list.
Feeling broody. It's two weeks before my next cycle starts, which means I have to push myself harder to get the same amount of things done. I've got to remember things for hubby and parents and the house, and my brain honestly feels like so much mush. ::sigh:: I've been letting papers pile up, and thinking of having to wade through them is pushing my procrastination button.
Gah. ::wry grin::
Time to catch up on folks, then. That way I'll have a morning free and clear for offline stuff.
