Month-ender post, for lack of a better subject line

I feel so drained by (a) the humidity and (b) playing the family chauffeur for three days running and (c) the fog that envelops my brain cells as PMS draws to a close. I seem to have lost the capacity to feel; there simply are no words in my head to describe my reactions to the simmering that is FanLib and the eruptions brought about by WFI.

I *have* turned my LJ into a friends-only journal again, though. At least while the maelstrom passes. Or maybe even after...we'll just have to see about that when the time comes.

As it is, I'm about three days behind on catching up with LJ-Friends, and the way things are, I don't think I'm even going to try. I've been napping really hard for the past two days, and yet I still keep feeling the need for sleep - a sure sign of PMS, along with a general brooding moodiness and a lack of coherent thought.

Things did manage to get done today, which brings a measure of satisfaction to an otherwise "eh" day. Mailed a card, changed the temporary PIN on my new savings account ATM card. Had coffee at Starbucks, and a honey-glazed doughnut (and even that tasted like something by rote). Put up three auctions on eBay, complete with pictures. Brought Dad to visit the bonesetter.

Dad bluntly revealed over lunch that one of Ninja's kittens was hit by a car (at least, that's what the security guard who found Spottie-kitten thinks), thereby casting a cloud of gloom over Ramon and Ma. ::exasperated sigh:: I had had advance word from the maid earlier in the day, but I had been hoping to conceal the fact from our two softies for a while longer. As it is, Ramon brooded for a bit, and Ma started to tear up...ai-yaa! I will miss the little darling, and I feel bad for Ninja, having lost three of her five kittens by violence already. Wah. Fortunately, she doesn't seem to be actively looking for Spottie, but she did seem rather wistful all day. ::sniffle::

Took some really cute pictures of Grayling-kitten sleeping in a basket. Will upload as soon as it can be managed.

I got an inspiration for trying to rearrange the boxes under the daybed that I should try out tomorrow.

Feeling more meh by the second, so I guess I'll stop here for a bit. Back tomorrow, for another fly-by entry.
