So I got myself this shortmail.com account, even though I wasn't really sure what I was going to do with it.
Just testing if I can post from shortmail to Dreamwidth after adjusting my DW settings. :)

Event of the Day: realizing that making a call to the pet supply was not possible, since the business card for said pet shop was in the bag that got stolen. Blargh.

Called the barangay, and Ramon's senior stuff will be out on Monday. *shrug* Nothing new there. Went back to the Fabricare at Petron Dasma to drop off laundry, which has been piling up since the machine went and died a few days back. By some lucky stroke of fate, the GE service person arrived just as we were about to leave the garage, so was able to check on the cause of the machine's hissy-fit. We will have to replace the motherboard on either Monday or Tuesday.

So off to the laundromat we did go, fast as we could run...er, ok, maybe not in the words of that classic song. *grin* But we discovered that Fabricare has been kicked upstairs (!!!) in favor of The Plaza Restaurant (or an outlet thereof) and a bakeshop. Fortunately, the laundromat has the unit right at the top of the stairs, so not a problem to carry stuff.

Then to SM Makati, for a merienda at Max's, the purchase of McDo apple pie for Ma, and the supermarket for kitty food and et ceteras. Then back home, to life as usual.

Event of the Day: There were several. Started out with the Women of Malolos meeting. The usual catching-up, discussion of ways and means to fund projects - especially our "Own a Piece of History: Adopt A Heritage Home", which deals with restoration of historic homes - and arrangements for events related to the celebration of the national hero's 150th birth anniversary.

Ramon had gone to the Ortigas area to explore, and was at Robinson's when I asked if our date at Bubba Gump was going to push through. He wasn't sure he could make the walk to Greenbelt from the bus stop on Ayala Avenue; so I got Ma's vitamins at Healthy Options, and paid the fee for a replacement card. Then I hopped back in the car and fetched Ramon at the Rustan's bus stop. He was royally pissed that the pedestrian crossing at the Ayala Avenue entrance was closed for the weekend. Which I find ridiculous - just because it's a weekend doesn't mean people won't need to use the pedestrian lane that leads straight from the bus stop across the street, straight into to the mall door. Right? Just so.

Lunch was had at North Park. Yum. Am making myself hungry just by writing about it. *grin* Then into National Bookstore, where I got myself some new gel pens and a couple of plastic pouches for holding papers and stuff.

Then off to Cash and Carry. Yep, the same place my bag got stolen - it's the only place I know that sells the kitty litter I like best, and is still my supermarket of choice in terms of stock. First thing was to check the pet supply. As you can see from my tweet below, the Kitty's Crumble/Eukanuba ship finally rolled in, and I walked away with two large and two small bags of Kitty's Crumble. That is, I had them brought down to the supermarket package counter after I treated myself to a one-hour chair massage, in order to feel less battered and more human after this week. Not complaining, to have replaced all the truly important things in one week is a glorious thing.

Supermarket next, chatted up the lady security officer; did my groceries. It was past five p.m. when we got out and headed for the laundromat to pick up our clothes. Ramon said to just drop the packages over the balcony rail into his waiting arms...is there any wonder I love the man? *grin*

With laundry in hand, it was home to unpack the groceries and settle the kittycats. Hot and humid and wilting me was more than happy to get to the shower and wash up thoroughly before bed. Have planned for Sunday to be a day of as complete a rest as can be managed while looking at things that need to be tidied, put away and caught up on. *chuckle* Life is back to normal, and we are grateful!
