Event of the Day/March 26: Let's see, Saturday...this would be the day I attended the Women of Malolos Board of Trustees meeting. I was "volunteered" to the Board three years ago, and ended up as Secretary. I don't even know, folks. We're cooking up a project involving the restoration of ancestral homes and the development of local tourism. Apparently my skill with wordsmithing has impressed people enough so that I have to draft a project proposal.

Operative word for me is "draft". I fully expect all the other good people involved to chime in with their two bits before a final product is printed out. *grin*

Tweets below center on the Triangle Factory Fire, which marked its 100th anniversary on this day. It was a tragedy the like of which was never seen in New York City, or the entire United States, for that matter. The Triangle Factory was a sweatshop, plain and simple. It occupied the 8th, 9th, and 10th floors of a building whose name escapes me now.

Fire started on the 8th floor, spread to the 9th and 10th in very short order. The exits were locked. People jumped to their deaths. Click the links for the details, but be warned, some of those pictures are not pretty at all.

Event of the Day/March 27: Sunday = Cash and Carry day. Ramon allowed to come out with me, which pleased him.

Our usual routine:
- lunch, this time at Luk Yuen; free Sunday paper to read, yayz!
- Book Sale to check out if any new titles showed up.
- Mercury Drug: buy Ma's Neurobion 5000 (Vit B-complex)
- Japan Home: interchangeable heads for my mop handle, to wit - a buffer, broom head, a brush head; also, sink strainers
- Generics Pharmacy: weekly supply of Ramon's meds
- Light Seekers Therapeutic Massage: half-body, sitting, 30mins of wonderfulness
- Macoy's Pet Supply: 2 large bags of Kitty's Crumble, and 2 cat collars
- Supermarket

Greater love hath no husband than, upon hearing that wife is hungry, goes off to buy her a Hungarian sausage sandwich and a Coke while she is in the cashier's lane watching the merch get run up, then makes her finish the whole lot while in the queue.

Event of the Day/March 28th: Brainstorming session between WOMFI and Malolos Tourism people. Dad's appointment with Dr. Batungbacal - clean bill of health for the eye, but still needs to take it easy.

Ramon bought microwaveable chicharon from the 7-Eleven around the corner from Dr. Batz (as we refer to the dear man). They come up pretty good, and are now on the short list of favorite merienda snacks.
