Well, it has been an interesting week, to say the least. I seem to have gained a friend of the male persuasion just as he was ending his vacation from work - so of course, now that we're well enough acquainted to share the juicier bits of his life, he's busy at work. Life gets funny.

In other news, life has been very calm of late, and we are grateful. I collected a dividend that will ensure we will have a working budget until the next dividend falls due.

Dad's caregiver's plans to continue his career as a seaman appear to be in limbo. Poor lad was so excited to be deployed! I told him he could stay as long as he wanted, seeing as how I hadn't found a replacement for him anyway.

The hall bath is now completely set up as my auxiliary bath, and that's where my evening showers are. I jump in directly I finish rationing food to the kitties, and so far so good with that system.

I've gone back to waking up at 5am and jumping into the shower after feeding the cats. Then breakfast, and whatever else needs to be done in the morning. Naptime after lunch, unless I've drunk too much coffee...then dinner, then last feeding for the cats, then bed. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Today I went out to Landmark for groceries, a duvet cover (full), and a duvet filler (single). Funny but the single filler seems bigger than the single cover? Though the filler does manage to fit inside, so it's all good. The new set-up looks rather pretty!

I also snagged a new necklace and pendant from Pandora's. I have come in for a bit of teasing about the pendant, a Valentine in red enamel with the character for "double happiness" embossed on it. Have been asked if it is a sign of a wedding in my future...to which I have answered, Inshallah...

Right now I am enjoying the idea that I am actually caught up with my to-do list. Seeing as it is the weekend, I'll close here and wish everyone good times.
