Oh my goodness, but I have been in a state of moving things, letting them sit, and then moving them again. It's a kind of reverse nesting, I think?
Anyway, after fixing up the terrace a few days ago, I fixed up the computer corner.The usual Medusa-head tangle of wires at the back of the computer table, but easily sorted. And now I have a lovely view of the terrace and out the front door, as well as of the master bedroom.
Am giving myself until the end of the year to decide if I want to keep the bunk bed in the TV room, or donate it to a worthy cause. The mattresses are a bit off, the bed will do for a family short on space. It's definitely marked down for Habitat for Humanity. The idea is that once the bed is gone, I can move one of the twin beds from the master into the TV room, and adjust all the other furniture accordingly, much to the confusion of the cats and the rabbits.
There are those who would make a case for keeping things against a rainy day, but...I know what I want to keep, and I've kept them or repurposed them, much to the delight of the space that they occupy.
I have been considering a kitchen renovation. After 50 years, I think it wouldn't hurt to change things up a bit. We already changed one of the refrigerators and the arrangement of same. Ditto for the gas oven and the microwave. The only major questions left are how to change the arrangement of the cabinetry, the color scheme, the tiles...a pleasant enough mental exercise.
Then I read today that the exchange rate is now PHP54 to USD1. *sigh* So I will continue exercising my brain, because that's all the renovation will be at the point. Actually, a lot of things involving money will be on dream status at this time. If it's not food, utilities, staff salaries, car maintenance (if only it were possible to have one car, like the family was planning before the number coding was implemented...), it will only get into the budget after some consideration.
Yesterday I was trotting around fixing up the new requirements for dad's senior bonus. The City Hall in its infinite wisdom, changed the rules a little bit. Got Dad to sign the new forms, and have photocopied his SSS ID card. Hopefully that will be enough to ensure compliance. Was also at the bank to get some money to put in a wallet emptied by putting aside Ann's salary - she's having her day off tomorrow.
Then I was in SM Aura, where I treated myself to a mentholated scalp massage and a facial. Trotted around for a bit, in something of a fog - see what happenes when I don't list down my to-dos? Still, I did remember to get some needed things for the house.
Later this afternoon, I'm going to drop by the Barangay Office and drop off Dad's forms. Hopefully that will be the end of things. Not sure if I'll still drop by S&R to see if they have Friskies, or just do that tomorrow. Mmph.
Tomorrow, I have to wrangle the cats for their free vaccinations. Well wishes that all goes well would be appreciated. The carriers are all in order, and I've got a new cart to help with the moving of the little darlings. There will be a check of the sturdiness of the carriers later.
So far so good. :}
