The rainy season officially began yesterday, and after teasing us with cloudy, *muggy* weather in my part of town (where we grow 95% concrete buildings), heaven sent us the gift of rain. Our new tropical depression/storm is dumping lots of rain everywhere, including the metro. Hot days are gone for the immediate future.
The students, who have barely begun the academicc year, are avidly glued to any sources of information on whether classes have been cancelled or not. Parents likewise, though i dare say it's for different reasons. Parents think of floodwaters starnding their darlings in filthy water, or the notice of class cancellation coming while the kids are already in school (which has happened). It's something some places have not resolved, this getting information out in a timely manner.
Got myself straightened out - literally - at Karada Glorietta. It's like a chiropracty place but more affordable. The therapist unkinked tight muscles, realigned various bones in my neck and spine. Best thing ever. My legs...one was an inch short at the start of the session, now they're even. My shoulder muscles were nearly frozen, so they recommend i go back next week. My hips and lower back are still aching, looks like they need an extra dose of efficasent oil.
Paid three bills, and three more were waiting when i got home. Tomorrow i stick the new registration sticker on the Avanza, list down the things the maintenance crew needs to do, sort out bills...maybe.
Today i did the bare minimum necessary, and slept all my aches away after lunch. In about 30 minutes dinner will be up. Dad has emulated the bears and gone into hibernation...making up for all the summer nights when he couldn't sleep. I did manage to do necessary fixing of various things, even a rearrange of the tv room.
Basically that's it for today. Tomorrow is a new slate.
